Precipitation
The Taiga has relatively low precipitation throughout the year (200-750mm and 1000mm in some areas) primary as rain during the summer month but, also as fog and snow.

Climate
The Taiga is the world largest land biome, and it covers 29% of the world.The taiga or Boreal forest has a subarctic climate with very large temperature range between seasons, but the long cold winter is the dominant.The summer last about 1-3 months never over 4 and its is about 10 degrees C.

Taiga Weather
A large percentage of forest the lies near the north pole. Each winter last about six month or more and hit temperatures about -90 degrees in less than a month! Did you know that because of the cold winter the trees in the Taiga grow from a sapling to be over 50 years old and become one of the worlds oldest trees.

The Taiga is located in many different countries like Russia, Brazil, Canada, U.S.A, China, Indonesia, Zaire, Nordic countries, and other places.

Season
The Taiga has only two season winter which is very long and the summer which is very short about 1 to 3 months.


Taiga plants and treesThe Taiga has many trees that adapt to the cold clime the Taiga has like black and white Spruce are found also the Tamarack, Jack pine, and Balsam Fir but their are very few species of the Evergreen Spruce,Fir,and pine.

Animals

The Taiga has many different animals like Northern America area has over 200 species of birds and other animals like the Black bear, Lynx, Timber wolf, Coyote, Caribou, and Moose. The most common animals found are Moose and the Crossbill Bird.


Timber wolf
The Timber wolf is about 26-32 inches tall, 4.5-6 ft long, weight is about 60-110 pounds, life span last only 6-8 years, and can run up to 25-35 mph.The Timber wolf hunts in packs but not any wolf can join, they mark their territory to tell other packs this is their area.TheTimber wolf adapt to their climate with a extra lay of skin to keep warm because of the harsh climate and have white and grey fur to blend in with the snow. The Timber wolf is a carnivore so it eats meats of other animals.
